Should I convert to Islam?

Why should convert? 18,000 deadly terror attacks committed explicitly in the name of Islam in just the last ten years. Isn't it enough as a reason for not converting? If you believe this statement as it is, you don't have to convert at all. If you would consider the argument below as an objectivity, you don't have to, either. There's no compulsion in Islam.

In the name of Islam? Both Muslims and non Muslims can use this keyword for the sake of terrorism: The Muslims who don't represent Islam as a whole, the ones who are absent minded as to interpreting the meaning of jihad and those of the hypocrites who prefer destroying Islam from within. And the outsiders can take the advantage too. The similar is applied to any other religions regardless of the degree of extreme.

If you believe Muhammad (pbuh), the prophet of Islam, had people killed for insulting him or for criticizing his religion, and that in many places that he has been ordered by Allah to fight men until they testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is his messenger ... And, what else? Oh, that he beheaded captives, enslaved children and raped women captured in battle, again, there's no reason at all that you should convert to this religion.

Anybody coming up with the above mentioned idea, or agree with it, have probably never read or never wish to find out the objective point of view, or might hesitate to know the truth from the original source. There's no study comparison to back up this argument; all is based on hatred and ignorance and bigotry.

No need to convert at all, even if later you realize all the perceptions above are misleading. Even when you know that there's no such nonsense like that ever written in the qur'an. Or, when you get enlightened by the unquestionable context or by the amazing analogies related to what you presume.

Islam, urges, not only its followers, but all human beings to think, to learn and to compare. The conclusion is there after you decide that your logic can accept it or no. And it is by check and recheck. By having a look at it by yourself, not by having yourself ill-informed. Haven't done it yet? No judgment!

The idea of converting to Islam should come first from self- awareness, that is good knowledge and judgment about yourself.
